This program in Catholic Health Leadership consists of two options. The first is a Graduate Certificate program requiring completion of 18 credits of health administration and theology courses. The courses required for this certificate are listed as follows:
- HA 500, US Health care Systems
- HA515, Health Services Administration
- HA 520, Catholic Health care Leadership
- TH 512, Catholic Medical Ethics
- TH 550, Foundation in Catholic Theology
- TH 581, Catholic Social Teaching
The second option is a Master of Health Administration degree concentration. For this degree, students are required to successfully complete the core courses, two elective courses and a capstone course, totaling 42 credits.
Both of these programs are recommended for health care administrators and department managers working in Catholic health care organizations throughout the country who desire to advance their career and provide leadership in the Catholic tradition within health care organizations. This degree is also recommended for current health care leaders within a Catholic health system who wish to upgrade their skills.
