SW 408 - Social Work Field Practice I (CBL-R) First part of a yearlong seminar required of all social work students involved in a field practicum. Integrates experiences from the field with course work and personal reflection. Topics include understanding the organization and the importance of a positive work ethic.
This is a Community-Based Learning - Required (CBL-R) course.

Course Learning Objectives Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Make ethical decisions by applying the standards of the NASW Code of Ethics, relevant laws regulations, models for ethical decision-making, ethical conduct of research, and additional codes of ethics as appropriate to context.
- Use reflection and self-regulation to manage personal values and maintain professionalism in practice situations.
- Demonstrate professional demeanor in behavior, appearance, and oral, written, and electronic communication.
- Use technology ethically and appropriately to facilitate practice outcomes.
