Designed for the educator-practitioner  who is currently or desires to teach at any PK-12 grade level at a Catholic School and is pursuing how to learn and embody Catholicism as an educator in their pedagogy and spirituality; this graduate certificate includes coursework that will focus on the unique charism, catechesis, mission and identity of Catholic education, integrated with educational theory, curriculum design, instructional strategies, evaluation and assessment.

Upon completion of this certificate, students will gain the following:

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the interconnectedness of faith and reason in the educational context. 
• Engage with contemporary issues facing Catholic education and applying Catholic principles to address these challenges.
• Correlate and integrate Catholic faith, principles, and teachings across the grade level curriculum in a developmentally appropriate manner.
