Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science Administration (BSRSA)

This program provides a baccalaureate degree for individuals who have completed an accredited Radiologic Science program.

The Radiologic Science Major includes advanced courses in Radiologic Science Administration.

Students may enroll in the ASRSA or BSRSA program while working through an approved Radiologic Technologist certificate program, but may not complete the degree program until official transcripts are received and verified to show that the student has earned enough credits in the certificate program to bring over the required block transfer credits for the degree.

Program Outcomes:

Completing this degree program will enable you to:

  • Acquire a systematic body of knowledge related to the management of health care services
  • Apply acquired knowledge and skills to the effective management of health services
  • Identify and internalize appropriate standards of professional and ethical conduct
  • Develop effective leadership competencies
  • Develop effective skills for independent scholarship and goal-directed continuing education

 The Fast Track to Master of Health Administration  option is also available.

Admissions Requirements:

Matriculates in the Bachelor of Radiologic Science Administration must hold a High School Diploma from an accredited academic institution with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and submit the following item for evaluation of preparedness for success in the program:

  • A 750-1,000 word essay which should be clear, concise, and well-structured. ​The essay should outline applicants’ academic background, experience, and goals. To this end, the essay must address the following areas of self-assessment:

    • Describe your academic background, including strengths and weaknesses, and share how you plan to be successful in your SJC online program. 

    • Discuss why you are interested in pursuing a career in Radiologic Technology.

Note: If all requirements are not met in your essay, you may be asked to revise and resubmit. 

Core Curriculum:


In addition, all students must fulfill the college’s Core Curriculum  requirements and meet the 120 credit graduation requirement.

Health Administration Elective (3 credits):


Students are required to complete 3 credits of Health Administration electives. 

Electives Radiologic Science Administration


Up to 50 approved credits may be transferred from an accredited Radiography program.  Major elective courses may also be taken to meet the 120 credit requirement.

General Elective Courses


Additional courses (electives) to complete the required 120 semester-hour credits may be selected from any of the course offerings described in the catalog.
