This degree program is designed for healthcare professionals who are seeking the professional skills to work in public health education,to provide in-service training at their workplace, or to teach in allied health programs at the college level. 

This degree concentration provides one of the few hybrid health care-education Master’s degree programs in the country, reflecting the college’s history of preparation in both the health care and education fields.

Students in the M.S.Ed Health Care Educator Concentration will:

• Acquire an integrated body of knowledge related to teaching and learning in the healthcare fields.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and connections between theoretical content, current research, online tools that support learning, and professional practice.
• Develop tools to assess learners and provide meaningful feedback to encourage professional growth and development.
• Effectively develop allied health education lessons and learning activities that meet both organizational standards and learner needs, to include generative AI applications.
• Cultivate the skills and practice of a reflective, ethical and highly competent healthcare educator.
