Fast Track to Master of Accountancy

This Fast Track to the Master of Accountancy program allows undergraduate students to waive up to two designated graduate courses from the Master of Accountancy  program with successful completion of (at least a “B”) the equivalent undergraduate courses. With waivers, students who elect to take two courses in each of the five ten week terms of the graduate program can complete the program in one year!

Admissions Requirements

Minimum Grade

To be eligible for admission to the Fast Track, students must have a Grade Point Average (GPA of 2.5 or better.)

Prerequisites

Qualified students in the undergraduate program who have completed the following five (5) required prerequisite courses with a B- or better are eligible for the Fast Track:

Waivers

Students who receive a “B” in the following Saint Joseph’s College courses, or, equivalent courses from other institutions, will qualify to have six credits waived in the graduate program for the equivalent courses.

Graduate courses waived consist of the following:

Of course, the students must meet all of the other remaining requirements for the undergraduate degree.

Graduation

Students will first graduate with a Bachelor of Science in either Interdisciplinary Studies or Business Administration upon completing all of their program requirements.

For those students who are in the midst of completing their undergraduate coursework, during the final semester of study, the student will then apply to the Master of Accountancy program and upon acceptance, with all admission requirements met, the first two graduate courses may be waived, provided a grade of “B” was earned in the two equivalent undergraduate courses.

With waivers, instead of a curricular requirement of thirty six (36) hours/twelve (12) courses, the curricular requirement after the Fast Track would be thirty (30) hours/ten (10) courses.

Students who elect to enroll in two courses per each of the five scheduled terms can complete their graduate degree in one year!
