MB 716 - Advanced Leadership in Business


This course addressed both current and emerging advanced leadership theories and practical applications of these theories.  Topics discussed include leadership in the workplace, as well as leading in remote, hybrid and global environments. Current research is leadership and leadership ethics will be evaluated and critiqued.

Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to do the following:

  • Critically evaluate current and emerging advanced leadership theories and their practical applications to assess their effectiveness in various organizational contexts.
  • Synthesize and critique current management research by applying theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence to assess its relevance and impact on contemporary leadership practice.
  • Develop and justify leadership strategies for effectively leading in remote, hybrid, global, and traditional workplace environments, considering cultural, technological, and organizational factors.
  • Critically analyze the moral and ethical dimensions of current and emerging leadership theories and practices, applying ethical frameworks to real-world leadership challenges.
