PL 600 - Prior Learning Portfolio


Students submit a persuasive case and portfolio of prior learning (including certifications, work experience and micro-credentials) to create a persuasive case for the awarding of credit for prior learning. Students must submit documented evidence and reflect on how prior learning has met the learning outcomes of the course the student is petitioning to replace with prior learning credit.  Evidence must be provided that this course is equivalent to learning at the masters’ level.

Prerequisites & Notes
Elective course for the Graduate Health Administration and Graduate Business Administration programs.

Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to do the following:

  • Create a portfolio and persuasive case for the awarding of college credit for selected masters’ level course.
  • Reflect on prior learning and how it meets selected course outcomes at the masters’ level.
  • Argue and critically support how prior learning meets selected course outcomes at the masters level.
