HA 205 - American Healthcare Systems


This course provides an introduction and overview of the United States healthcare system. The overview includes the concepts of health and healthcare, including consumer healthcare-seeking behaviors. The course describes the roles of government and the private sector, and the varied, constantly changing levels of care in the U.S. health system.
