TH 222 - World Religions


Embark on a global journey of faith. This course delves into the world’s major religions, exploring rich histories,diverse beliefs, and cultural practices. From the ancient wisdom of Hinduism and Buddhism to the monotheistic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, we’ll examine how these faiths have shaped societies. By comparing and contrasting these religions, we’ll gain a deeper appreciation of the unique contributions to human thought and experience, recognizing all belong to all. The course will culminate in a thoughtful exploration of inter-religious dialogue, fostering understanding and respect among people of different faiths.

Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Evaluate the role of selected spiritual leaders in each of these traditions.
