MB 605 (SF) - Strategic Management of the Sustainable Enterprise


In the 21st century, sustainability is a strategic issue central to competitive advantage in a global, interconnected, and technologically driven world.  Managing for current needs without compromising the future requires adding environmental and social considerations to traditional economic performance and being able to make a business case for it. This course explores the concepts of strategic management and leadership through the pragmatic lens of sustainability.  Exploration will cover opportunities and threats, risk orientation, reporting to stakeholders, innovation, and related organizational considerations necessary to achieve sustainability. 

 

This is a Sustainability-Focused (SF) course.
