Master of Divinity/Dual Degree

The Master of Divinity/Dual Degree program prepares students for ministerial work in the church and provides an advanced level graduate degree beyond the Master of Arts in Theology, as well as prerequisite programming for students planning to pursue the Doctor of Ministry degree.

The Dual Degree program is available to any student who possesses a Master’s Degree in Theology or Ministry from any accredited institution.

Credits: 72

Required Courses

Degree maps will be customized to complement the courses students have completed in their M.A. programs, drawing from Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Moral Theology, Liturgy and Spirituality, and Ministry.

Capstone: TH 600 Master’s Thesis

Admission Requirement

  • Admission into the Master of Divinity Dual Degree program, requires applicants to have completed a Master’s Degree in Theology or Ministry (M.A. or S.T.M.) from a regionally or nationally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must submit an official transcript of their earned Master’s Degree
     
  • Coursework taken to complete an earned Master’s Degree in Theology or Ministry is not transferrable to the Master of Divinity Dual Degree program. Theology coursework taken beyond the M.A. or S.T.M. may be eligible for up to 6.00 semester credits in transfer. Course descriptions are required, and syllabi may be requested on an individual basis.
