This online graduate program allows RNs with bachelor’s degrees to earn both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration in Leadership.  Both degrees are awarded at the same time with the completion of all requirements. This 60-credit dual degree benefits nurses who are, or plan to be, in a leadership position such as, manager, director of nursing or Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).  The Leadership MBA curriculum also develops insight and foresight, and deepens the understanding of the quantitative and qualitative relationships within organizations.

Admission Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
  2. An active RN license that has been unrestricted for two years prior to application, and the functional abilities required of a professional nurse.
  3. Minimum two years full-time experience in nursing.
  4. Completion of a minimum of an undergraduate statistics course.

All applicants with a baccalaureate degree in another field who are graduates of a diploma or associate degree program in nursing have an individualized audit conducted of their application materials.  The Program Director reviews coursework and/or experience related to Community Health Nursing and Nursing Leadership.  As a result of this process students will be required to complete either one or two undergraduate courses (NU405T/NU406T) with at least a B in each, or one or two one-credit courses (NU510/NU511) with a grade of an A.
