DB 300 - Database Fundamentals


This course provides students with the abilities to develop logical database models, convert them into physical databases, and then implement those models. Students will learn the concepts and tools needed to perform data analysis, create data models, construct Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), design, normalize, and administer databases. The course will emphasize the relational data model. Students will also learn Structured Query Language (SQL) to create databases and database objects as well as insert, update, delete, and retrieve data in a relational database.
