Health Administration Minor

Saint Joseph’s College’s Health Administration Minor is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for effective healthcare leadership. Core courses cover healthcare management, policy, and systems. Upon completing the courses in the Health Administration Minor, students will be well-prepared to take on leadership roles within various healthcare settings, from hospitals, post-acute facilities, home health, laboratory, consulting, and primary care practices, just to name a few.

Upon completion of this minor, you should be able to do the following:

  • Acquire a systematic body of knowledge related to the management of healthcare services.
  • Apply acquired knowledge and skills to the effective management of health services.
  • Identify and internalize appropriate standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Develop effective leadership competencies.
  • Develop effective skills for independent scholarship and goal-directed continuing education.

Note:


Any HA or LTC elective can be selected to make up the 3 credits from HA 302 if already taken on-campus or for acquiring the total of 18 credits.
