Business Communication is an interdisciplinary major designed for students who want to focus on the branding, e-commerce and digital technology needs of modern business.  Business courses will educate students in marketing, management, branding and social media, while communications courses focus student learning on writing and public relations, web design and leveraging digital media to achieve corporate goals.

Completing this degree program will provide students with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary communications theories, practices and trends.
  • Opportunities to author, edit, assess and publish original media content.
  • Insight into the socio-economic impact of social, institutional and corporate media on U.S. society.
  • Career and graduate school preparation.
