The Communications major takes an interdisciplinary approach;  providing students with an inclusive perspective in the current communications field.

Completing this degree program will provide students with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary communications theories, practices and trends.
  • A facility with digital applications and tools for authoring, editing, assessment and publishing of media content.
  • Career and graduate school preparation.
  • An understanding of the socio-economic impact of social and industrial media on U.S. society.

 

Core Curriculum:


In addition, all students must fulfill the college’s core curriculum  requirements and meet the 128 credit graduation requirement.  The First Year Experience (FYE) Seminar  is a requirement for all first-year students.
