The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate is a 27 credit CCNE-accredited graduate program intended to prepare those RNs with an undergraduate and graduate degree in nursing for a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. This program prepares the graduate to sit for the National FNP certification exam to allow for employment in all states.

The student will complete a minimum of 600 clinical hours with pre-approved preceptors in their own geographic areas. FNP coursework is also available for those seeking a Post MSN certificate; transcripts will be individually evaluated to determine which NP courses are needed.

This program uses the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and Clinical Prevention and Population Health Framework (CPPH) conceptual input and meets DNP criteria for those continuing on for a DNP.

Only NP courses and the Capstone course are needed for completion.
