NU 308 - Family Nursing II


Credits: (3 credits - Theory, 2 credits - Clinical)

Guides the student in the application of the nursing process using the Roy Model to meet the needs of high-risk childbearing and the childrearing families. The focus is on high-risk conditions occurring during the maternity cycle and on children who are responding to acute and chronic health problems. Clinical experiences take place in community settings for clients with special needs, health care providers’ offices, outpatient clinics, and hospital pediatric units.

Prerequisites: NU 208, NU 204.
