MS 104 - Chemical and Geological Oceanography


Credits: (4 credits)

Chemical and geological oceanography represent two of the four disciplines in marine science. This course will provide students with a detailed understanding of the chemical and geological processes that occur in the ocean. Topics such as the chemistry of seawater and sediments, calcium carbonate dynamics, sediment transport and deposition, and diagenesis will be covered.

Prerequisite/Corequisite
Prerequisite: C- or better in CH 103, or permission of instructor.
