IS 201 - Methods of Social Research and Statistical Analysis


Credits: (4 credits)

This course combines basic research methods and elementary statistics. Topics include: developing and testing research ideas by understanding research designs, sampling procedures, questionnaires, experimental designs, interview schedules, observation techniques, secondary research techniques, descriptive statistics, standards of reliability and validity, linear regression, hypothesis testing and statistical inference, and engaging in critical reviews of published research.
