CS 301 - Information Systems


Credits: (4 credits)

This course provides and understanding of organizational systems, planning, design, and decision processes. The roles of information and data as resources will be covered as well as the processes generating and transforming them. Topics include: Systems Theory and concepts, hierarchy of systems, system components and relationships, IS planning and change management, the role of people in IS, evaluation of information systems, and social/ethical issues.

Prerequisite: CS 201, CS 210.
