BI 303 - Histology


Credits: (4 credits)

A comprehensive study of the architecture of plants and the four basic mammalian tissues and their relationships in organ systems. Function and anatomy are contrasted between health and diseased states. Laboratory includes microscopic study of animals and plants and student preparation of a portfolio of stained slides. Students learn fixation, embedding, sectioning and histochemical staining procedures.
