TH 100 - Introduction to the Judeo-Christian Tradition


This course examines Judaism and Christianity from historical, theological, and scriptural perspectives. The course offers a rich opportunity for a personal and academic reflection on theological concepts and their development through the terrain of key events and prominent persons.

Course Learning Objectives
 

  • Define key Christian concepts and their development
  • Describe key events and persons in Christian history
  • Offer explanations for some pivotal historical decisions in Christian history
  • Discern elements of Christian faith within original texts and life experiences of select men and women
  • Articulate a well-reasoned rationale for one’s own faith or beliefs and attitudes with respect to the faith of those people who have been surveyed in the course
