NU 410 - Nursing in a Special Care Unit

Credits: (3 credits)

This Nursing elective focuses on further development, critical examination, and the synthesis of nursing care of individuals with life-threatening illness and their families. Previous nursing knowledge and skills are built upon with emphasis on the implementation of the nursing process utilizing the Roy Adaptation Model, problem-solving, organizing and setting priorities in an intensive care unit.

Prerequisite/Corequisite
Prerequisites: All NU 300 level courses.

Notes
Students assume responsibility for their own learning under the guidance of a staff nurse preceptor and faculty instructor.
