TH 530 - Christology

This course focuses on the person, message, and saving mission of Jesus Christ.  It examines the biblical foundations of Christology, the Christological dogmas of the early councils, scholastic Christology, and nineteenth and twentieth-century Christological speculation, including the contributions of contemporary liberationists.  The course emphasizes the themes of Christ’s incarnation, death and resurrection and considers the identity and mission of Jesus as foundational to that of the Christian minister.
