TH 104 - Introduction to the Old Testament

An introduction to the historical and religious background of the texts of the Old Testament and to the study of the methods of interpretation, and a survey of the books and significant passages of the Old Testament.

Course Learning Objectives
  • Recognize the literature of the Old Testament and be knowledgeable of significant books and passages of the Old Testament
  • Explain the religion and history of ancient Israel that are reflected in the Old Testament
