LTC 448 - Issues in Long-Term Care Policy Addresses issues in long-term care, particularly issues affecting how long-term care policy is developed and implemented. Those issues include how the long-term care system should be structured, who should control it, how to assure access to all who need long-term care, and the ever-present question of how it should be financed. It builds on earlier courses that examined the overall field of long-term care and the components of the system as it exists. Students in this course look beyond what is and question why it is as it is, and how it might be improved.
