ES 409 - Special Topics in Environmental Science

Credits: 1-4 credits

ES 409 Special Topics course is inherently a special opportunity.  Each Special Topics course presents either some new, experimental course design, or new subject matter content that does not fit into existing courses.  Each Special Topics course comes with its own course title, description, prerequisites (if any) and objectives.

Special Topics is a course in an area of Environmental Science of particular interest to the instructor and/or the students registered.  It is offered to provide flexibility and variety to the program while giving the student the opportunity to study an uncommon topic in considerable depth.

Prerequisites, level and number of credits to be determined by the instructor.

Prerequisite/Corequisite
Various, by specific course offering.

Learning Outcomes
Due to the changing courses offered under the Special Topics banner, it is extremely difficult to give concrete course outcomes.  The course outcomes for a special topics course will, however, be congruent with the institutional outcomes of the College and of the Environmental Science & Marine Science Programs.
