TH 325 - Catholic Theology of Marriage and Family

Credits: (4 credits)

Treats the theology of the sacrament of marriage and of the family within the Catholic tradition beginning with the Bible down to the most recent teaching of the Popes and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  It will also address marriage and family as cultural and social institutions.  Discussions will cover threats to marriage in the Catholic tradition such as infidelity, divorce/remarriage, cohabitation, and “same-sex” marriage.
