TH 215 - Protestant Christianity


Credits: (4 credits)

This course explores Protestant Christianity as it arose in Europe and Great Britain at the time of the Reformation in the sixteenth century and as it has developed in North America since the seventeenth century. Topics will include Lutheran, Reformed, and Anglican doctrine and theology, Puritanism, the Great Awakening, revivalism, the liberal denominations, fundamentalism, and Pentecostalism. American civil religion will also be considered.
