ID 100 - Introduction to Interdisciplinary Studies


This course will provide students with opportunities to recognize and appreciate multiple perspectives within and across academic disciplines. The foundational course offers students opportunities to explore real world issues, inquire and seek understanding of multifaceted views and approaches, and promote an overall curiosity for learning across fields of study. The course also prepares students for the foundational work of integrating learning experiences and constructing new meaning.

 

  •          Recognize the value of diverse perspectives within and across disciplines.
  •          Compare and contrast varying and multifaceted worldviews.
  •          Demonstrate an understanding of how learning experiences can be integrated across fields of study.
  •          Articulate strategies to synthesize multiple perspectives.
  •          Apply learning experiences to real-world issues.
