HY 421 - Special Topics: We Can Do It! American Women in the Workforce


 

This course will examine how women have been active participants in the workforce from the roaring 20s to the modern era. This evaluation includes the impact of class, race, and ethnicity on gender roles and the expectations for women in the American labor force. Throughout the course, students will investigate the differences of how women and men divided their time between family and work, occupation choices, earnings, and how policies changed and affected the experience of working women.
