TH 527c - Special Topics: A Pastoral Approach to Globalization, Spirituality and Ministry in 21st Century America

This course involves taking a look at the future of the Church through the pastoral lens of the present. The course explores ten global trends that impinge on the Church’s ability to “be Church” and to create a future that speaks to the pastoral needs of its people. Each of these trends, to a greater or lesser extent, need to be considered seriously by pastoral agents who truly wish to minister effectively in adult formation, community building, evangelizing, and in serving the various pastoral needs of a church in transition.
