SO 321 - Special Topics: The Sociology of Work
This course is intended to help students understand the nature of work in modern society as it shapes our individual and collective experiences. Topics will include a number of important sociological themes:
how and what we define as work, historical and current patterns of work and labor, sectors of the economy, how various groups of people experience their work, and the challenge of work/family balance.
