TH 580 - Theology of the Sacraments

Provides a biblical, historical, and theological treatment of the Christian sacraments.  It explores the basic principles of sacramentality in human experience through a study of symbol, story, and ritual.  It discusses Christ as the primordial sacrament; Church as sacrament, Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the sick and dying as community celebration; and the ecumenical dimensions of the sacraments
