TH 335 - Introduction to Catholic Social TeachingThis course examines the historical development and theological foundations of the social teaching of the Catholic Church. It provides a survey of the major Church documents that treat ethical questions pertaining to civil, economic, and political society. It explores the lives of Christian witnesses who exemplify these teachings in action and gives special attention to the Church's social teaching as it develops in response to such contemporary issues as the environment, post-industrial society, globalization, and the just war theory. Prerequisites & Notes TH 220 This course is offered online as part of the Theology curriculum with monthly start dates.
